Asia Cup 2012: Champion Pakistan

Asia Cup 2012 Final Bangladesh Vs.  Pakistan. Asia Cup 2012: Pakistani Cricket Team, Winner Of Asia Cup 2012. A never-say-die Bangladesh lost by two runs in a humdinger as Pakistan lifted the Asia Cup for the second time on Thursday.
Pakistan survived a few tense moments but held their nerve to win the thriller by two runs. Chasing 237, Bangladesh brought it down to nine runs off the final over but could only manage six.
The hosts gave Pakistanis a run for their money as Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (13) reignited hopes for Bangladesh with three fours in the 47th over.
Mahmudullah (17) and Addur Razzak (6) then tried to take their side to the target.
                                                                  Pakistani team
Razzak tried a pre-meditated carve over short fine leg off Aizaz Cheema but ended up playing it onto the stumps.
Bangladesh could only manage one run off the last ball when they needed 4 for a win. Shahadat Hossain, who leaked 19 runs in the final over of Pakistan innings, could only dig a yorker out for a single.
Bangladeshi players were in tears having seen their dream shattered so cruelly, as the innings stopped at 234 for 8.
Pakistan spinners dried up runs with the second 50 of the innings coming off 99 balls and Bangladesh lost momentum from the bowling powerplay.
Cheema dealt big blow to Bangladesh's hopes removing Shakib Al Hasan (68) and Mushfiqur Rahim (10) in fairly quick succession and gave his team the edge towards the end.
A struggling Nasir Hossain "28 off 63 balls" went before him after a good partnership. He tried to pull Umar Gul but got a top-edge and captain Misbah-ul-Haq took a simple catch at midwicket.
Bangladesh however found their heroes in Mahmudullah and Masrhafe as they went on the attack to close in on the target. The 46th over which was bowled by Umar Gul went for 14 runs to take the equation to 25 off the last 3 overs.
Bangladesh lost Mortaza in the next over. Mahmudullah and Abdur Razzaq brought the runs needed down to 9 off the last 6 balls.
The hosts had lost the big wicket of Tamim Iqbal (58), who made his fourth back-to-back half century, and was looking set for a big score. Tamim tried to pull Gul over midwicket but miscued it towards extra cover where Younis Khan took a brilliant catch inches from the ground
Bangladesh were slowed down by two wickets in two overs and lost the momentum.
Struggling Nazimuddin (16) threw his wicket away, trying to heave Shahid Afridi over extra cover but Younis took an excellent running catch.
The Tigers earlier restricted Pakistan to 236 for 9 in 50 overs in the final at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Bangladesh struck regular blows at the top but Pakistan's lower order made some useful contributions with Sarfraz Ahmed top-scoring with an unbeaten 46.
Shahadat bled 19 runs in the last over, more than the 18 extras in the innings, when the hosts looked like they would restrict Pakistan to a score much lower than 236.
Afridi was in his elements with a breezy knock of 32 from 22 balls until Nasir Hossain took a fantastic diving catch to remove the dangerman. Big-hitting Afrdi played one shot too many when he tried to whack a juicy, low Shakib full toss over midwicket. He only got a top-edge and Nasir at long-off ran in and took a brilliant catch diving forward.
Bangladesh dealt a double blow before the 35th over to prevent Pakistan from breaking free after they removed Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq very quickly.
Hammad Azam and Umar Akmal, both scored 30, steadied the ship with a 59-run partnership but their dismissals just before the batting Powerplay rocked Pakistan.
Akmal was unfortunate to be given out, trying to work a Mahmudullah delivery behind square. Replays suggested it may have flicked the trouser on the way to wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim.
Azam went before him, trying to slog-sweep Shakib over midwicket but top-edging the ball back to Shakib.
Mohammad Hafeez (38), who was living dangerously having survived a very close lbw call and a catch, was finally out in the 22nd over. Tied down, he struck a flighted ball from Razzak straight to Nazmul Hossain who took a sharp catch at mid-on.
Pakistan lost Misbah (13) in the 15th over. Nasir Hossain ran in from point and hit the stumps at the non-striker's end to catch the opposition captain well short.
Nazmul trapped Younis Khan (1) lbw with one that nipped in after pitching to put the pressure on Pakistan.
Mashrafe bin Mortaza struck early to remove Nasir Jamshed (9), who tried to hit a slower one over the in-field on the off side but ended up hitting it straight to Mahmudullah at cover.
Bangladesh have gone winless in nine previous battles against Pakistan in the tournament.

Jessica Simpson Happy For her New Baby

Pregnant  Gets Nude for Elle .....Girl Baby Bump..
Following in the footsteps of Demi Moore’s famed pose in 1991 for Vanity Fair cover, Jessica Simpson is certainly trying to be. The singer turned fashion designer graces this month’s cover of Elle magazine. However, the 31-year-old doesn’t just reveal her new, nude bigger body in Elle’s April issue; she also reveals some big news: The singer-actress-fashion designer is having a girl! And she’s hoping for a girly girl at that.
“Ah swear, ah will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!” Simpson, who will serve as a ‘mentor’ on the upcoming reality competition show “Fashion Star,” tells theCelebs in her signature Texas drawl.
“If she ends up being’ this volleyball-playing, basketball-playing woman I’m looking up at! Eric is so athletic we’re gonna have this athletic girl and I won’t even be able to take her shopping, ’cause all she’s gonna want is sports bras and Nikes!”
However, while the baby’s personality has yet to be seen, one point is already decided: her “nontraditional” name.
“We’re sure, it’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it, they’ll know … why. We were going to [go] all-day drinking…” she explains of her and Johnson’s planned drive to Venice Beach, California.
“Ride our bikes, hang out. But I started feeling this overwhelming guilt. Why would I feel guilt at the idea of going out and having cocktails with my friends?” “I’m a free-spirited girl, but giving up my scotch? My Macallan 18″ That was hard for me!” Simpson says with inkling that something was off.
“Though now that doesn’t even sound good, being pregnant. You crave other things. A big thing of water sounds great!” Simpson took a home pregnancy test — and discovered she was expecting.
Instantly, her life changed. Pro football player Eric Johnson … and the reason their future daughter could be one very large baby.
(Her physician is predicting 10 pounds, the same size Johnson was at birth.) “Me, I was only six pounds,” Simpson says. “So maybe Eric and I can meet in the middle.”
The couple apparently didn’t have any trouble meeting in the middle when it came to choosing a name for their baby girl. Moreover, the future mom insists they won’t be changing their minds.
“We’re sure. We’re embroidering it on things,” Simpson insists of the name she describes as ‘nontraditional’. It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary still, when people hear it, they’ll know…why. The thing is, I was just a lot more naive in my life back then,” she explains.
“I was experiencing a lot of things for the first time, like media and marriage and just…comin’ in to my own as a woman. I was this southern, Texas girl who didn’t know much comin’ into this world. I know who I am, and you kinda’ can’t mess with that. I’m a go-with-it girl. I have a blast makin’ fun of myself and falling on my face and then getting up again,” Simpson shares.
“It’s so much better than being the cool, deep, tortured artist.” Simpson explains. One thing’s for sure: Jessica Simpson.

Enjoy Lindsay Lohan hosts Live Programe

Did you hear the one about Lindsay Lohan hosting Saturday Night Live for the fourth time in her career? If you’ve been watching NBC at all this week, then yes, of course you have. The star, who has found herself in a little bit of a pickle since her last visit to Studio 8H in 2006, will be turning the tables on late night comedy, in that she’ll be the one poking fun at LiLo mania. “People are probably wondering what I’ve been up to,” Lohan joked in her self-deprecating SNL promo.
Lohan "seen here with SNL cast member Kenan Thompson... has promised she’s making a clean and sober comeback. But will the actress, who has more or less become a punchline over the past few years, actually be able to make viewers laugh with her à la that classic Debbie Downer sketch, rather than at her? Will Jimmy Fallon stop by in support of Lohan as quasi-promised? Or are any and all attempts to make light of her decidedly unfunny troubles just doomed to make us feel as uncomfortable as musical guest Jack White so visibly does in this recent promo spot.....

Meet the 'American Idol' Top 13 Finalist

America was introduced to American Idol‘s season 11 top 13 this week: Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet, Heejun Han, Shannon Magrane, Skylar Laine, Elise Testone, Colton Dixon, Jermaine Jones, and wild cards Erika Van Pelt (Randy’s choice), Jeremy Rosado (Jennifer Lopez), and DeAndre Brackensick (Steven Tyler).
Entertainment Weekly caught up with the finalists at Idol‘s top 13 party in Los Angeles Thursday night and asked them everything from thoughts on their strengths and weaknesses, to makeover hopes and fears, to their feelings about the judges so far this season.
We also caught up with Steven and Randy to get their opinions on the finalists this year — and asked Randy what he thinks about the show’s ratings being down this season.

What sets you apart from the other contestants:
Get more EW: Subscribe to the magazine for only 33¢ an issue!
DeAndre Brackensick: Other than my hair? (Laughs] I do have a big, big range. I have a low voice, and I have a very, very high voice. I try to use the high to my advantage, not too much. But hopefully the high can push me through at least to tour.
Skylar Laine: I’m the only country person left in the group, so that sets me apart.
Shannon Magrane: I definitely do think I stick out from the crowd being tall. (6-foot, ¾-inches tall, exactly)Jessica Sanchez : I think we all have our different styles. I’m the more mainstream kind of pop urban singer. I love attitude and bringing new things to the table. I think what separates me from the other contestants is that I’ve done this before and I’ve been watching American Idol since I was a very little girl and I’ve been preparing myself throughout the years for this moment. And I’m here now and I’m ready to work hard.
Elise Testone: I have lots and lots of experience. I’ve been in so many bands. I’ve been a backup singer, a lead singer, I have a music degree. There are a lot of things the younger competitors have that I don’t have, so I do see a nice healthy competition going on.
Erika Van Pelt: I have sort of a unique tone and timbre. I like to belt it out and I sort of can pull it back and do sort of these more restrained tunes, but when I get going I like to rock out and I like to squall and I like to show people I have that rock edge, too.
Heejun Han: The fact that I’m a very good-looking guy. I love it… I’m just being myself all the time. That’s me.
Colton Dixon: I’m so different from everyone else. I’m the only rocker left, first of all. I’m so happy about that. Erika has a little bit of the rock thing going, but the guy-girl thing, it’s not going to matter.
Phillip Phillips: I’m just trying to change the songs up to make them my own. I don’t know if anyone plays the guitar on the show. I’m just trying to be myself.
Jeremy Rosado: I know that I have the favor of God, and that’s gonna get me farther than anything else.
Hollie Cavanagh: People don’t expect my voice to come out of me because I’m tiny. A lot of people say I have a big voice.
Joshua Ledet: My genre. I don’t think there is anyone in the competition who sings the gospelly type, so that is probably the big separation between me and other contestants.
Jermaine Jones: My deep bass baritone voice, my height - 6-foot, 8 ½ inches, and don’t take away my half. my stature.
