Celebrity of Plastic Surgery

According she didn't have plastic surgery for all the reasons we're used to hearing. The abrasive comedienne says she decided to go under the knife in order to avoid spending time with then-husband Tom Arnold.

A self-proclaimed "Bionic Man" who's had work all over, "The Gambler" singer says he regrets changing his looks so drastically and misses the "warmth" in his eyes. Don't forget, Kenny, sometimes you need to know when to walk away, know when to run.

Lots of stars, like Kenny Rogers, lean on plastic surgery in the hopes of finding the fountain of youth.

Priscilla Presley was so beautiful that she landed the most eligible bachelor in history: Elvis Presley. For a long time, she seemed to age gracefully, and if she had work done, it was tasteful. But in 2003, Priscilla went to see "Doctor" Daniel Serrano, who had a new beauty secret he claimed was better than Botox.

So what has Dolly had done? Clearly, a lot. As she herself admits, "If I see something sagging, bagging, and dragging, I'm going to nip it, tuck it, and suck it."

Country singing legend Dolly Parton is no dummy. She built her career on her stellar voice and a sexy, albeit somewhat trashy, image. In fact, she's famous for saying, "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."

She's also had a face lift, breast lift, and collagen and Botox injections. The total estimated bill for all the work: $235,000. But rest assured, Kelly, Sharon's had the gastric band removed and has sworn off any future surgeries.

Sharon Osbourne has had so much work done that her daughter Kelly has said her mom is a nip-and-tuck addict. After losing 125 pounds (half her body weight) through gastric bypass surgery, Sharon went on a plastic surgery spree that included a tummy tuck, liposuctioned hips and arms, and leg and butt lifts.

The results left even Rinna admitting that she looked like "a freak." She's vowed never to do anything that changes the shape of her face again and to stick to the fresh look she feels she gets from Botox. We're just left wondering what's up with her lips.

Clearly, his first mistake was stepping into the ring at all, but that tragedy was compounded by Mickey's choice of surgeons, who, he admits in hindsight, wasn't very good.

A lot of the damage done to Mickey Rourke's once handsome looks are the result of his short-lived boxing career. While in the ring, he suffered numerous cuts and bruises, two broken noses, and a shattered cheekbone. No wonder Mickey had to resort to plastic surgery.

What's the price of beauty? Well, Janice has reportedly spent about $100,000 on procedures. And her "addiction" eats up a lot of time: She says she flies to Dallas every six months for Botox injections.

When your whole existence is based on looks, it's hard not to obsess about them. So it's not surprising that a supermodel like Janice Dickinson admits to being addicted to plastic surgery.

Chapters in the book include "Botox, Baby!," "Plump It Up: Lips," and "Filler Up: Wrinkles." Plus, Joan dishes about other celebrities who've gone under the knife. Beauty can be so ugly.

Joan Rivers has had nine plastic surgeries, and she's not afraid to say it. So unafraid, in fact, that she's made it the subject of her recent book, "Men Are Stupid ... and They Like Big Boobs: A Woman's Guide to Beauty Through Plastic Surgery" (co-written with Valerie Frankel).

The singer confessed in 2006 that she had a nose job when she was 16 years old. All the while, she denies that she had a rib or two removed to have a smaller waist.

Janet is the only Jackson to come out and admit that she actually had plastic surgery.

Needless to say, Aaron's little girl admitted to having rhinoplasty when she was still a teenager, and finally fessed up to a long-rumored breast augmentation, too. We're not sure what Candy's opinion was on that subject.

Mothers of the world, take heed. If your daughter asks you if she's pretty, please do not say what Candy Spelling allegedly said to Tori when she was girl: "You will be ... once you get your nose fixed." At least, that's what Tori recounts in her second tell-all book, "Mommywood."
But she so vehemently denies having had any adjustments done to her eyelids, cheeks, stomach, thighs, and legs or to having a rib removed that she had a surgeon verify it in writing.

Cher, who has dubbed herself the "plastic surgery poster girl," confessed to having had rhinoplasty her first procedure, cosmetic dental work, breast augmentation, and a face lift.

Fueled by years of insecurity, Heidi says that she woke up the day of her enhancement surgery and felt like it was Christmas. According to reports, she's planning to increase her cup size yet again sometime soon.

Heidi Montag isn't shy about discussing her plastic surgery. "The Hills" star has admitted to having rhinoplasty and breast augmentation.

So many stars hardly look their age and have obviously spent a lot of money on improvements, even if they deny going under the knife. Other celebrities, however, have owned up to at least some of the work done on their faces over the years, especially when they've been unhappy with the results. Flip through this gallery featuring some of the best and worst of celebrity plastic surgery.

"The SOS model of providing care for children without parental care is one of the best, as they are still in a family setting within their own country. We hope more people learn about their programs (sic) and give them support," said Jolie, 34, a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations' refugee agency,
