Casey Kasem -- the original voice of the American Top 40 countdown -- died Sunday morning .. confirmed news.

His daughter Kerri said on Facebook this morning ... her dad was surrounded by family and friends. adding, "Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken."

Casey was suffering from advanced Parkinson's Disease and dementia. His wife Jean Kasem moved him to a convalescent home in Santa Monica a few months ago.

Kasem founded the "AT 40" radio franchise back in 1970 ... and famously hosted the wildly popular show until 2004. He went on to do several spinoff countdown shows until he retired from radio in 2009.

He was also very famous for voicing cartoon voices like Shaggy from "Scooby-Doo" ... and Robin on "Super Friends." He was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 1985.

Casey's illness was marked by a bitter war between Jean and Casey's three children from his previous marriage. The kids claimed Jean blocked them from seeing Casey for several months.

Earlier in the week Kerri took her dad off of all life support including nutrition. Casey was 82.

There is something seriously wrong with a woman Kris Jenner's age to be in competition with her young daughters. I think that this woman is deathly afraid of growing old and that she is trying to hang on to what little youth she may think that she has by pretending that she can get away with the things that her daughters do. The only thing that it is accomplishing is making an old woman look very, very foolish.

Kris Jenner has pimped her daughters out for money and has desperately tried to be their best friend rather than their mother. And quite frankly, she's failed miserably at both.

The best thing that could happen to this family would be if their reality show got cancelled and if they all went into intensive mental health counseling.

Like daughter, like mother..Kim Kardashian wasn't kidding about her friendly competition with Kris Jenner. Hours after Mrs. West posted a bikini-clad picture of herself via Instagram, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch did just the same on Friday, June 13.

Hours earlier, Kardashian shared bikini selfies of her flat stomach while tanning in Mexico with husband Kanye West. In the first snapshot, North West's mom only shows her body from the waist down and appears to be lying on a towel by the pool. In the second, she angled her legs in order to see the beautiful scenery. "Tan time," she wrote.


Kris through the years.The trip was considered a second honeymoon for the newlyweds following their Europe wedding extravaganza last month. They stayed at Joe Francis' house, Casa Aramara in Punta Mita for the getaway. Kardashian added: "No better place to be."

Fight Looming Over the Body

Casey Kasem. the famed DJ who is near death -- will probably not rest in peace, at least in the short term ... because we've learned a massive fight is brewing over his body.

Family sources tell. Casey's will makes his wife Jean the executor, cutting Casey's kids out entirely.  The will gives Jean -- who is in a nuclear family war with the kids -- the power to arrange for a proper funeral and burial

Now here's the rub.  Casey's daughter Kerri is currently Casey's conservator.  When he dies, the conservatorship is terminated and Kerri loses all control over Casey's body.  But Casey is currently at a hospice in Washington, under Kerri's watchful eye.  When he dies ... well, you know the adage -- possession is 9/10 of the law.

Kerri says she'll abide by the terms of the will, but we're told Jean absolutely doesn't believe her and thinks everything is now all about a money grab on the part of Casey's daughters ... and she's bracing for a fight over the body.

It's safe to assume that Selena Gomez isn't too happy about her "cameo" at Miley Cyrus's Bangerz tour stop in Milan Monday night.

When singing her song "F U," Cyrus grabbed a cardboard cutout of Gomez from the audience. Seconds later, she hurled the photo off the stage after belting the lyrics, "I don't really have much to say/I was over it the second that I saw her name."

Good grief does this girl even know where she is at this point? She is falling fast and nobody seems to be helping her. She has burnt every bridge and sold every ounce of morality and self respect that she had.

Well, that was a good come back to Katy Perry. John Mayer has been with Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, and Jessica Simpson, just to name a few.

Cyrus did not explain what prompted the gesture. It's unclear whether the incident was in response to an actual gripe with Gomez, or if it was just one of Cyrus's typical onstage antics. Neither Gomez nor Cyrus have addressed the matter on their social media pages.

Last summer, Gomez showed her support of Cyrus, following the "We Can't Stop" singer's controversial performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards, describing it as amazing. "I thought it was awesome," Gomez told Us Weekly. "I like Robin Thicke too, so I like that they [collaborated]. I thought that was good."

racy Morgan's deadly 6-car pileup should be an alarm for New Jersey officials to make some big changes before more lives are lost ... this according to the family of a truck driver who died on the same dangerous stretch of highway.

The Walmart truck that plowed into Tracy's vehicle was hurtling down the NJ Turnpike -- and back in April, just a few miles away ... John Visconti III was killed in an eerily similar crash.

TMZ spoke to his mother, Mary Visconti who was outraged by the carnage of Morgan's accident ... "How many people have to die on the Turnpike before something is done? It is ridiculous."

Mary says her son was driving an 18-wheeler when he swerved to avoid a much slower vehicle on the highway. He was killed when his truck overturned and caught fire.

According to court docs ... Buck's estranged "wife" Elayne claims Buck never sealed the reassignment deal with the proper apparatus.  Elayne claims since Buck doesn't have to tuck, the union was never legal because Louisiana does not recognize same sex marriages.

Buck is gunning for $2K a month in spousal support.  He's also alleging Elayne secretly moved $500,000 out of their joint account.

Under Louisiana law, a person doesn't change sex unless the genitalia is altered.
