The delayed flight to Nice, the missed red carpet appearance – it’s all good now. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan showed up belatedly in Cannes but she couldn’t have looked better.

On the red carpet of the screening of the film Two Days, One Night, Ash made a breathtaking entrance in a stunning Roberto Cavalli gold gown with a long train. The glittering patterned dress set off her porcelain skin and hourglass figure.

Wisely, Ash kept accessories simple. Red lips and cascading hair finished a perfect look. We’ll give her 10 on 10.

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have basket balls ... they've actually filed a battery report claiming  some clown dared to make it rain all over them -- with confetti.

The "attack" occurred last month.  Richie the Barber -- who by the way gives an awesome haircut -- was riding his unicycle on Melrose when he spotted the chicks.  Richie, who often juggles bowling pins while riding his contraption -- made a beeline for the girls and dumped confetti over their heads.

Khloe and Kourtney didn't see the humor, and immediately filed a police report.  Our law enforcement sources privately scoffed at the complaint and we're told they did nothing to pursue it because it was so frivolous.

But fast forward to 3 days ago.  Khole and Kourtney followed up and told cops they wanted to pursue criminal charges.

So we're told detectives then called Richie and asked him one question:  "Were you trying to harm them by throwing confetti."  Richie said he meant no harm and only threw the confetti bomb to "congratulate them on their success."
 

 We're guessing the case will now take a fast train to nowhere. Richie didn't sound too concerned yesterday when he told us about the run-in with K&K.

 Aishwarya to walk Cannes red carpet...Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who missed the first of her two scheduled appearances at the 67th Cannes International Film Festival due to an air traffic controllers’ strike in France, will now take to the red carpet at the gala May 20.

The actress’ official spokesperson posted on Twitter on Saturday: “Today Aishwarya will be shooting an ad and doing media interactions. On the red carpet on 20, 21 May and AMFAR on 22 May.
Aishwarya represents global cosmetics brand L’Oréal Paris at the annual gala, and she was slated to walk the red carpet Friday. However, her flight from London to Nice was delayed, and the L’Oréal Paris team made quick arrangements for her appearance on an alternate day.

“We are sure she will dazzle as always,” Manashi Guha, general manager, L’Oréal Paris India, had earlier said of the former beauty queen’s appearance.

Aishwarya has been attending the Festival de Cannes on behalf of the brand for 13 years now. This year, Cannes is also playing host to amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS fundraiser, which Aishwarya will be part of....

George W. Bush's Scottish terrier Miss Beazley was put to sleep Saturday ... after doctors said the cancer she had been fighting finally got the best of her.

Bush's office announced the death this afternoon ... saying the dog was a "source of joy" for the family during the ex-Prez's time in Washington and Dallas.

Bush gave the dog to his wife Laura as a birthday present while he was in office ... and M.B. was featured in a video the White House made in '05 called, "A Very Beazley Christmas."

Miss Beazley was almost 10.
