Taylor Swift to Debut Song For Cancer VictiM

 Taylor Swift to debut song for cancer victim during "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon.................................
Taylor Swift will pay tribute to a young cancer victim with a special song during Friday's "Stand Up to Cancer" telethon.

"Ronan" is dedicated to a 4-year-old boy who died last year of neuroblastoma. Swift, 22, wrote the song after reading the blog of Ronan's mother, Maya Thompson, who is credited as a co-writer.

According to a person familiar with the show, but who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to speak, the song has never been performed in public. After the telethon, it will be available on iTunes; all proceeds will go to cancer-related charities.

"Stand Up to Cancer" will air on all the major networks and cable channels. Besides Swift, it will feature celebrities including Tom Hanks, Sofia Vergara, Julia Roberts, Michael Douglas, Samual L. Jackson, Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Emma Stone, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Olympic gold medalists Gabrielle Douglas and Missy Franklin and more.

The telethon comes a day after Swift performed at the MTV Video Music Awards. She sang her latest single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," during the annual awards show. The song is from her upcoming album "Red," which is due out next month.

Astronaut Neil Armstrong will be buried as far away from outer space as possible ... at the bottom of the ocean -- this according to his family.

The family wouldn't specify when or where the burial at sea will take place.

In case you didn't know, Neil was a Navy fighter pilot before he joined the space program in 1962 -- and burials at sea are common for Navy veterans.

A public memorial for Neil will be held at the Washington National Cathedral next Thursday. A private service has already been held in Ohio, Neil's home state.

 As we reported, Neil died on August 25th. He was 82.

Most Populer Actor Steve Franken Dead. The wife of Steve Franken says the veteran film and television actor has died.

Jean Franken says her husband, who starred in the 1960s TV series "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" and as the drunken waiter in the film "The Party," died Aug. 24 after battling cancer.

The 80-year-old appeared in dozens of roles, ranging from guest appearances in TV series "Bewitched" and "Seinfeld" to film roles in "Nurse Betty" and 2009's "Angels and Demons." He was also a stage actor.

A public memorial is scheduled for Sept. 22 at Theatre West in Los Angeles.

Jean Franken says her husband never stopped working and loved acting.

Born in Queens in May 1932, Franken remained in LA throughout his career. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.
