Michelle Obama's Daughter Attend Beyonce Concert Show

Michelle Obama was with the single ladies this weekend, joining 5,500 fans at a Beyonce concert in Atlantic City.

The first lady was with daughters Sasha and Malia at Revel Resorts, where Beyonce performed two dozen songs Saturday night. Obama's husband, President Barack Obama, did not attend.

Gov. Chris Christie was among the sell-out crowd packed into Revel's Ovation Hall.

Michelle Obama and the girls appeared excited throughout the concert, cheering Beyonce on. The daughters even sang along to the old school-sounding jam "Love on Top."

Obama recently told People magazine that if she could be anyone else, it would be Beyonce. And she came close, at least in how she was received by the audience: The first lady got a roaring cheer that matched Beyonce's as she made her way to her seat in a shiny green dress. Some fans took photos while others screamed her name. One yelled, "This is history!

Beyonce opened the night with the upbeat "End of Time," wearing a glimmering silver outfit and hot pink shoes that matched her nails. She followed that with more up-tempo hits like "Crazy In Love," "Get Me Bodied" and "Party."

During the slower grooves, Beyonce brought on the emotion. She held back tears during a rousing rendition of "Resentment" and sat on top of a piano when belting the love song "1+1."

The multiplatinum singer's Atlantic City concerts are her first since giving birth in January to daughter Blue Ivy.

"Y'all don't know how hard I had to work," Beyonce told the crowd. "I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on the treadmill, eating lettuce."

Beyonce paid tributes to late singers throughout the night, singing a verse of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and giving Donna Summer a shout-out when performing "Naughty Girl," which samples Summer's hit "Love to Love You Baby." She also performed a cover of Lauryn Hill's "Ex-Factor" and infused Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris" when she singing "If I Were a Boy."

Beyonce was backed by her all-female band and numerous dancers. some men. She also performed Friday and has shows on Sunday and Monday at Revels, which also has a casino.

"I hope y'all win a lot of money tonight," Beyonce said at the end of her show.

American Idol winner Phillip Phillip’s ‘Idol’ pain and joy

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips was in so much pain from his kidney troubles Wednesday night, he limped into the Nokia Theatre for the finale and sat uncomfortably through most of his victory party, according to MIX 104.1’s Erin O’Malley.

“I was checking into the Nokia and I saw him limping in,” said O’Malley, who was in La La covering the finale for the radio station. “I thought, “Omigod, he’s in so much pain, he shouldn’t even be here.’ At the after-party he was just sitting the whole time except to get up for pictures. He looked to be in some serious pain.”

Phillips, who was crowned the 11th “American Idol” Wednesday night, has been battling kidney problems for most of the season. Early on, he was rushed to the hospital and nearly missed a show. He also didn’t do a couple of the Ford commercials with the rest of the contestants because of the kidney stones.

When Phillips went back to Georgia for the hometown visit two weeks ago, his family doctor advised him to get surgery immediately, but he held off until the end of “Idol.”

Overcome with pain, relief and joy, Phillips was unable to perform his new single, “Home,” at the close of the “Idol” finale. Instead, he broke down in tears and left the stage to embrace his family.

“He made every woman and girl in America fall in love with him at that moment, if they weren’t already,” O’Malley said. “When he walked by the judges and went to his parents, it was like, ‘Awwwwww, that’s so cute.’ ”

O’Malley said she also saw runner-up Jessica Sanchez at the “Idol” after-party, which is held in a huge converted tent on the roof of an adjoining parking garage, and the 16-year-old budding diva seemed to be taking the defeat in stride.

“I think she knows she’s going to have a great career even if she didn’t win,” O’Malley said. “She seemed relieved that it’s over.”

Also relieved was third-place finisher Joshua Ledet. The Louisiana church boy told O’Malley he couldn’t handle the stress of the competition.

“I asked him, ‘Don’t you want to win?’ and he said, ‘I don’t know. I know that’s what we’re here for but I’m so glad I don’t have to worry about the voting and the performances anymore, I can just have fun.’ ’’

And as for “Idol” judge Steven Tyler, who finally performed with his band, Aerosmith, on the finale, O’Malley said she ran into him near the Nokia elevator and he “wants to stay on the show for another year.”

Tyler’s tour of duty had caused problems with his bandmates, who refused to perform on the show last season. But O’Malley theorizes that with a new CD coming out and a tour this summer, the band finally caved into the “Idol” promotion machine.

“Every artist who performs on the show explodes the next day,” she said. “It’s such a fantastic promotional tool, I think Steven was finally able to convince them of that.”

Kate Middleton Raises a Glass "So Much for Bumpwatch" With Princes William and Harry in Honor of Queen Elizabeth

Kate Middleton Raises a Glass "So Much for Bumpwatch" With Princes William and Harry in Honor of Queen Elizabeth

To be young, beautiful and royal is a feat worth celebrating, and that's just what Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry, along with the sovereigns of 26 countries, did today.

Correction: that's just what the happy trio, with glasses full of celebratory booze, did today. Guess this puts an end to the constant pregnancy talk surrounding the Duchess of Cambridge.

The in-laws were among the noble and otherwise titled masses that convened at Windsor Palace at the behest of Queen Elizabeth, who hosted a luncheon in honor of the milestone that just keeps giving "awesome photo ops", her Diamond Jubilee.

So, which other royals turned up to take part in the festivities.
MORE: Prince Harry Shakes Tambourine and Boot yon Queen's Diamond Jubilee Song........
In addition to the young royal trio, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were also present for the festivities, as were royals from a bit farther afield: Prince Albert and his new wife, Princess Charlene of Monaco; the Queen of Denmark; the Emperor of Japan; Jordan's King Abdullah and Queen Rania; the Grand Duke (is there any other kind?) of Luxembourg; the Crown Prince of Thailand; and the Kings of Norway and

Swaziland, among other notable monarchs.

So, what was on the menu for this discerning group? Quintessentially British fare: The VIPs dined on English asparagus tartlets, braised potatoes and vegetables, tomato-and-basil salad, and Windsor lamb, finishing off the meal with strawberries and vanilla charlotte

Are We Over Baby Photos Or Just Over Jessica Simpson: Pop Blend

It’s not surprising Jessica Simpson would decide to sell baby pictures of her newborn Maxwell. An overwhelming majority of celebrities famous enough to get tabloid offers wind up taking them, but what is surprising is how little money the combination actress and singer wound up getting.

According to WWD, the starlet will take home eight hundred thousand dollars for the first snapshots of her daughter from People Magazine. That might sound like a ton of money to the rest of us who willingly show off our children for free, but as big money offers go, this one is rather measly. Brad & Angie reportedly raked in more than ten million dollars for their baby shots, and a few years ago, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony nabbed six million. Even Matthew McConaughey was able to line his pockets with three million dollars; so, when compared against her competition, her 800K is kind of pitiful.

Now, there are really only two possibilities in play here. The first is that the powers that be have decided we’re collectively just not as interested in baby photos as we once were. The second is that, much as she’d like to claim otherwise, the reality star just isn’t nearly as popular as any of those other celebs who nabbed seven or eight figure payouts.

I’m surprised she couldn’t wrestle up more money for Maxwell’s pictures, but I’m convinced the reason has to be one of the two mentioned above. What do you think? Is Jessica Simpson just not that popular, or are we all just pretty indifferent about celebrity babies now? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below...........

Hillary for all-party participation orconnectivity steps election in BD

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has hailed Bangladesh's efforts towards augmenting regional connectivity with neighbouring countries.

PM HASINA And Hillary Clinton
After an hour-long meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Clinton lauded Bangladesh's efforts for greater communication with its neighbouring countries, prime minister's press secretary Abul Kalam Azad said.

The secretary of state landed in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon on a 24-hour trip to Bangladesh and went straight to the Prime Minister's Office. There she first met Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and addressed a joint press conference after signing a declaration on Bangladesh-US Partnership Cooperation.

"Bangladesh will benefit from the regional connectivity because of its geographical position," the press secretary said quoting Clinton.

She said the regional connectivity would also give a boost to ties with Myanmar, a close neighbour of Bangladesh.

Azad said the prime minister greeted Clinton on her first visit as the secretary of state and said her visit would further strengthen the already good relations between the two countries.

Hailing the US as a tested friend of Bangladesh for the socio-economic development and women's empowerment, the prime minister said she was also working for people's welfare and prosperity, the press secretary said.
Referring to the loss of her 18 family members in Aug 1975, and 2004 grenade attack that killed 24 people, the prime minister also reiterated her government's zero-tolerance stance against terrorism.

He further said apart from various bilateral discussions, the prime minister also requested Clinton to extradite her father's killer A M Rashed Chowdhury, a death sentence-carrying convict now living in the US.

Foreign Affairs Advisor to the prime minister Gowher Rizvi, Ambassador-at-Large M Ziauddin, her chief secretary Sheikh Wahid-uz-Zaman, Bangladesh Ambassador to US Akramul Qader, US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan W Mozena and US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Robert O Blake were also present during the meeting.
